3。5*We get to know more about the backgrounds of each of the protagonists alongside other lackluster filler events。 It feels as if certain events are created just to elaborate and reinforce the tension build-up among characters。 The prerogative and motivation for actions of certain characters are pretty one-dimensional。 However， the main characters grow on us and get us invested in their quests。 The love-triangle is quite convincingly done。

Clockwork Prince is the main course to this trilogy， admittedly Clockwork Angel needed a lot of concentration to begin with but this book I listened to effortlessly。 I could not get enough！ My heart stuttered and stopped a few times- I was on the threshold of bursting the dam a few times but I was in ALL THE FEELS THROUGHOUT。 After this book I truly got the hype of this series- I need the next book STAT！！！ PS Will Herondale owns my heart forever and always， in every lifetime！！

So basically I’ve gone from strongly disliking all the characters in Clockwork Angel to having them all break my heart in Clockwork Prince - I said there needed to be character development and WOW the author delivered。There wasn’t as much action in this one （although there were still many secrets revealed）， as it was more about the character and relationship development。 I love Charlotte and Henry， and as for Tessa I have no idea how she’s going to get an ounce of happiness in the last book but So basically I’ve gone from strongly disliking all the characters in Clockwork Angel to having them all break my heart in Clockwork Prince - I said there needed to be character development and WOW the author delivered。There wasn’t as much action in this one （although there were still many secrets revealed）， as it was more about the character and relationship development。 I love Charlotte and Henry， and as for Tessa I have no idea how she’s going to get an ounce of happiness in the last book but fingers crossed because at this point my happiness is resting on her。 。。。more
